Why Join?

When you join the Oregon Physical Therapy Association (OPTA), you become part of a dedicated group of more than 1,700 professionals who are known for their commitment to professionalism and promotion of the profession at large.

Your membership in the OPTA automatically includes your enrollment to the national organization, the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).  APTA represents over 100,000 physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and students of physical therapy nationwide.  Your OPTA/APTA membership grants you access to numerous benefits including advocacy at the state and national level, clinical education, public awareness, career development, conferences, evidence-based practice tools, news publications and magazines, payment resources, and multiple discount programs only available to members.  At the state level (OPTA) you can also benefit from membership, continuing education courses, workshops, PT Night Out, conferences, leadership opportunities and more.

By clicking on the Join Today button below, you will be directed to the APTA website.  APTA works closely with each state chapter by setting up the membership and handling the dues.  There is typically a three week processing period in which APTA will set up your information and then forward that information to OPTA to get you set up at the state level.
