Welcome Kip Schick to the 2019 OPTA Conference

Kip Schick, PT, DPT, MBA APTA Liaison, APTA Board of Directors

We are honored to welcome Kip Schick to our Conference this year. Kip will provide an update on the APTA Strategic Plan and include comments/perspective on how this aligns with our own Strategic Plan.

Kip received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Oklahoma, his Masters of Business Administration from Rice University, and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton University. He works for UW Health in Madison, WI as the Director of Clinics and Wellness and as the interim Director for the Orthopedic Service Line and the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation.

Kip served as Chapter President of the Wisconsin Physical Therapy Association from 2010-2016. Since 2016, Kip has served as a Director on the APTA’s Board of Directors- he is the Board liaison to several components, including the Oregon Chapter. His other roles on the Board currently include Chair of the Board Policy Review Work Group, Chair of the Leadership Development Committee, Chair of the Code of Conduct Board Work Group, Member of the Executive Committee, and Member of the Public Policy and Advocacy Committee. Kip’s Director term ends in June 2019, and he is running for APTA Secretary.

Kip enjoyed a great family trip to Oregon many years ago- taking the train from Wisconsin to Portland. Highlights included Portland, Mount Hood, Bend, Crater Lake, and many beaches and sights along the Oregon coast from Sunset State Park to Astoria!
