"At the following events I had a PT booth emphasizing the importance of healthy posture and gave demos of ergonomically correct school chairs and my BackTpack.

  • Oregon AHPERD (American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance) Conference

  • Neskowin Valley School Harvest Festival

  • Northwest College Bookstore Association

  • Portland School Health Teachers (through Healthy Kids Learn Better Coalition)

  • Department of Human Services Health Fair for all State Employees

In addition to these presentations, I attended the Report Card Unveiling for Children First for Oregon meeting with Gov. Kitzhaber. Several other legislators were present including Sen. Gordon Smith's Chief of Staff. I have also been communicating with Safe Kids International based out of South Carolina. They asked for a BackTpack sample since they are concerned with the increasing prevalence of pain and injury among backpack wearing students."

Providence Portland Inpatient PT Department:
Raised over $1,000 to donate to Free Wheelchair Mission through a weeklong raffle.
