 OPTA has developed a media kit to give you the tools to market your practice and help market Physical Therapy in Oregon!

The OPTA is a pilot state for APTA’s national PR campaign, and we need your help to launch it!!

The APTA has developed a website suited especially for consumers, www.moveforwardpt.com.

Here is what you can do to get involved with promoting physical therapy:

  • Download, copy and distribute the flyers PDF icon to direct patients to www.moveforwardpt.com. We suggest taking the flyers to your referral sources’ offices and using them as a talking point during your next marketing visit. Ask if you can place some flyers in the lobby to provide free healthcare information to their clients. Share them with neighbors, family and friends, or offer them to another colleague who can use them.

  • Sign up at www.apta.org/findapt. MoveforwardPT.com will have a prominent link to the find a PT page.

  • Use the press release Word Icon and fill in your information where required. Send these to newspapers, radio, and television stations in your area. To find out where to send your press release, click here Excel Icon. If you have any updated contact information for our media contact list, please pass that information on to OPTA.

  • Download the web banner advertisement (to download, simply right click on the link and select "Save Target As". Save the image to your computer. After you save the image to your computer you can upload it to your website and then link it to moveforwardpt.com) we have created for you to connect your clients to a powerful patient education website. We are asking you to place this banner ad on your clinic’s website to assist in driving more consumers to the moveforwardpt.com site. The more locations the moveforwardpt.com website is referenced, the higher it will show up in the list of related searches when someone searches the internet for references related to physical therapy, pain and movement. This will likely end in more consumers landing on our (moveforwardpt.com) site which is how we will measure success.

  • Use the poster PDF icon in a prominent place such as your clinic, community center, doctor’s offices, church, or other public place of interest to you. Please ask for permission prior to hanging the poster and educate people about the free healthcare information on the website being advertised on the poster.
