Vice President |

Term of Office: |
Two years. The Vice President is
elected at the Spring Meeting in even numbered years and takes
office at the conclusion of that meeting. |

Bylaws Qualification: |
PT or Life/PT member of APTA/OPTA in
good standing. Candidate shall have been a member of APTA for at
least one year and OPTA for at least six months immediately prior to
the election. |

Other Qualifications: |
Have a general knowledge of the
physical therapy profession in Oregon, including practice and
reimbursement issues.
Be willing to play an active role in chapter activities on an
ongoing basis and be prepared to assume the position of OPTA
president in the event such succession is necessary. |

Chapter
Responsibilities: |

Attend all Board of Directors
meetings as an active participant including submission of written
report. Be prepared to chair Board and Executive Committee
meetings in the absence of the president.

Attend OPTA membership meetings as
an active participant including submission of written report. Be
prepared to chair such membership meetings in the absence of the
president.

Prepare oral and/or written reports
as necessary to keep the Board and membership informed of the
activities of the office.

Maintain Board of Directors
Officers' Manual in appropriate format and be responsible for
turning it over to the successor at the end of the elected term.

Chair Awards committee to review
component service awards nominations (i.e.. Mercedes-Weiss, etc)

Mentor 1-2 potential candidates to
take over the position.

Meet with successor to review
responsibilities and activities of the office.

Time Commitment: |
6-10 hours per month for Board and
Executive Committee meetings and special projects. |
