Member At Large #1-Liason with OR Licensing Board/Chair Scholarship Committee

Members-at-Large are elected at the spring meeting of the odd numbered years and take office at the conclusion of such meeting. 

Active/PT, Life/PT, Affiliate/PTA or Life Affiliate/PTA members of the APTA in good standing. Candidate shall have been a member of APTA at least one year and OPTA at least six months immediately prior to election. 

Be willing to play an active role in chapter activities and in specifically assigned duties. 

Position 1: shall act as liaison with the Oregon Licensing Board Shall chair the Scholarship Committee.

1. Attend Licensing Board meetings and assemble/hold scholarship committee meetings.

2. Report to the Board on the activities and information current to the Licensing Board and Scholarship Committee.

3. Submit an annual budget projecting the revenues and expenses related to their area of responsibilities.

4. Attend Board meetings and meetings of the general membership in the fall and spring including submission of written report.

5. Mentor 1-2 potential candidates to take over the position.

4-6 hours at weekday Licensing Board meetings every other month, attend 4-6 OPTA Board Meetings per year, 6-8 hours/year to complete special projects or follow up communication from the Licensing Board meetings. The Scholarship Chairperson role takes about 10 hours/year to work with Update Management on applications, presenting applications to the students at Mt Hood Community College and Pacific University, and meeting with the committee to select the winners.
