Welcome, Physical Therapy Professional!

PictureWe appreciate your interest in our association, a chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association. Use the link above to access a membership application as well as information on membership services offered through APTA.

Our activities at the state level serve to foster the role of the physical therapist in the health care field for the benefit of all Oregonians. We sponsor numerous continuing education opportunities throughout the year, including our annual conferences in March and October. Interim education courses are provided to help the physical therapist and assistant maintain and/or augment their professional skills.

In the legislative arena, we actively communicate with the Department of  Consumer and Business Services, Workers Compensation Division and other state agencies in the development of administrative rules and polices governing the practice of and reimbursement for physical therapy services.

Our members benefit from the opportunities to attend OPTA - sponsored education programs at reduced cost, to receive our bi-monthly newsletter and other pertinent mailings, to establish professional and social contacts with other therapists, and most importantly, to participate through committees and other association efforts in actively determining the future of physical therapy in Oregon.

We invite you to join us! Please complete the APTA online membership application or contact us to mail it to you.

All Applicants! Please complete all areas on the application to ensure timely processing. All categories of membership are based on education not on licensure. Both national and chapter membership are required. You must belong to the chapter of the state in which you live, work or attend school, or of  an adjacent state if more active participation is possible.
