Cochran Receive National Awards
Ricci
Susick, PT and Stacey Cochran-Comstock, PT, DPT Nationally Recognized
In September at the 2007 APTA State Government Affairs Forum, Ricci was
one of two PTs honored with the 2007 State Legislative Leadership Award.
Ricci has served on OPTA’s Legislative Affairs Committee for over 20 years
and worn many hats within our Board of Directors, including President. She
helped pave the way for Direct Access in Oregon, fought for improvements
to our Practice Act and continues to be a driving force in protecting and
strengthening our profession.
Cochran-Comstock was recognized by the APTA as an Emerging Leader in the
October issue of PT Magazine. S he is a very active member of OPTA’s
Legislative Affairs Committee and has just begun her second term as Chief
Delegate. Stacey is an active voice in Oregon’s HOD and leads her team of
delegates to many state and federal government affairs. She teaches MHCC
and Pacific University therapy students about the HOD through mock
role-play presentations. When not doing the above, or fundraising for PT
PAC, Stacey chases around her 1 year-old daughter Lily.
